Tunisia is an excellent platform to invest in agricultural projects. However, since September 2022 we have started growing and producing tomatoes in our first 10 Hectares of greenhouses within our new project la joie de Hicha located in the El Hicha Gabes region. Next to our 48ha already in use we are building 120 ha more greenhouses in the Gabes district.  It is our ambition to make this a true showcase for socially responsible and ustainable tomato production.  Our ambition is to continue to grow our company at a nearby location with an additional 120 hectares in the coming years. This ambition goes further than just building a new greenhouse. With this greenhouse we want to set an example for sustainable greenhouse horticulture in areas with a desert climate with water scarcity. This means the following for us:

• Create 3,500 jobs (70-80% women)
• Housing for about 2,000 people.
• Sea water desalination station
• Natural energy sources, wind- and solar energy
• Planting a forest and reduce the Carbon emmission
• Cogeneration unity to produce Energy, CO2 and hot water 
• Waste management system: Vegetable waste is completely used for animal feed
